2 Hours vCPD
Objectives
- Consider the relationship between pulpal and periodontal disease.
- Give the practitioner a clear overview of the aetiology, diagnosis and treatment of endodontic-periodontal related problems.
Anna and Maria will give an overview of the relationship between pulpal and periodontal disease. They will be discussing the effects of periodontal disease on the pulp, and of pulp disease on the periodontium. Clinical management of endodontic-periodontal lesions is based on an understanding of the aetiology of the various lesion types, careful diagnosis and treatment planning. Often a team approach is required. Treatments of these lesions will be discussed, both non-surgical and surgical approaches.
