Mr Sanjay Sharma

Sanjay trained at King’s College London and at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, completing his Doctorate in 2008 for his work on the genetics of cancer growth. Sanjay’s understanding of face and neck anatomy is exemplary.  Appointed as consultant at Southampton Uni Hospital NHS Trust in June 2010, specialising in head and neck cancer and reconstruction. His special interests include facial plastic and aesthetic surgery using non-surgical and surgical techniques, consolidating these with an attachment at the world renowned Boston Facial Plastic Surgery and Facial Nerve Center.

Dr Duaa Turani
SPECIALIST PROSTHODONTIST & RESTORATIVE CONSULTANT
FDS (Res.Dent), MPros, MClindDent, BDS, MFD RCSI

Duaa has a conservative, modern and comprehensive approach to advanced prosthodontics. She obtained Membership in Prosthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh (MPros RCSEd) in 2016. Upon completion of 5 years’ full-time training programme as a Specialty Registrar (StR) in Restorative dentistry from the Eastman Dental Hospital in London, she was awarded Fellowship in the Specialty of Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh (FDS (Rest Dent) RCSEd). During her time at the Eastman, she gained specialist-level training in Prosthodontics, Endodontics and Periodontics. Duaa is a consultant in Restorative Dentistry, where she leads restorative dentistry services and provides multidisciplinary care for patients, who have complex dental needs such as hypodontia, cleft lip and palate and head and neck cancer. She currently also teaches and trains dental core trainees (DCTs) and has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Mr James Sloane
CONSULTANT ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGEON

James is dual qualified in both medicine and dentistry. Graduating from Nottingham Medical School in 2003 he undertook his early surgical training in Bristol where he also completed his dental degree. After becoming a consultant, James undertook a further international fellowship focused on orthognathic (corrective jaw surgery), reconstruction of traumatic facial injury and dental implant surgery at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia. James also undertakes routine oral and maxillofacial procedures such as wisdom tooth removal and as a member of the specialist skin cancer multidisciplinary team is experienced in treating facial skin lesions.

Dr Maria Evangelidou

Maria graduated from Manchester Dental School in 1999. She is a Member of the Fellowship of Dental Surgery and completed her 4 year specialist training program in Periodontics at Guy’s Hospital. She holds an MSc, MClinDent and an MRD in Periodontics.

Dr Ross McDowall

Ross is kind and caring, with a real passion for delivering beautiful orthodontics. He recognises the life long aesthetic and psychological benefits it brings his patients. Having spent his childhood in Winchester, he embarked on a country wide programme to gain his comprehensive orthodontic qualifications. After receiving his Dental Degree from Newcastle University with distinction in 2003 he went on to complete his Masters Degree in Orthodontics at Manchester University. In the same year, he was awarded the prestigious William Houston Gold Medal for achieving the highest mark in the MOrth specialty examination. With a desire to progress to the highest recognised orthodontic qualifications, Ross undertook a further 2 years of specialist orthodontic training at Bristol Dental Hospital, passing his Consultant exams in 2012. Ross was then appointed as a Consultant Orthodontist at Queen Alexandra Hospital Portsmouth and at St Mary’s Hospital Isle of Wight, allowing him to return home to bring up his young family. As a Hospital Consultant he leads and provides complex multidisciplinary orthodontic care, has a central role in training and examining postgraduate students and is actively involved in research, having received national & international awards.
