An evening with Top London endodontist Daniel Flynn at Winchester Science Museum.

Daniel Flynn has accepted the joint invite from the Hampshire Endodontic Study Club and the Hartog Dental Study Club to give what promises to be an entertaining evenings talk – focussing heavily on case-based discussions – to enlighten us on advances in surgical endodontics.

All Dentists will encounter failed root treatment cases. Competency in surgical skills can often be the difference between extraction or successful retreatment. During an interactive (audience participation encouraged!) session Daniel will discuss:

– Case selection, imaging and treatment planning

– Soft tissue techniques: Flap design, intra-op haemostasis and suturing techniques.

– Osteotomy + rationale for resection

– Root end management: equipment and materials for retropreps and retrofills.

– Postoperative complications and management

– Dealing with failure – Reasons for failure and how to remedy
